WLS-10kV Single-Core and Three-Core Outdoor Cold-Shrink Terminations
Cold-shrink cable terminations are cable accessories constructed by compressing elastomeric materials against the cable insulation. Because they rely on elastic recoil at ambient temperature—rather than requiring heat to induce shrinkage, as with heat-shrink cable accessories—they are commonly referred to as cold-shrink cable accessories. In the early days, cold-shrink cable terminations typically featured only the additional insulation as cold-shrink silicone rubber components, while electric-field control was still achieved through stress-cone configurations or stress-tape wrapping.
